Journey 180 Planner was an inspiring product extension created to support students' academic and personal growth. Working closely with Anna, the founder of Elite Advantage Prep, I helped bring this planner to market by designing the visual assets, building the Shopify store, creating mock-ups, and developing a consistent brand identity that connected seamlessly with her core business.
Anna, who runs Elite Advantage Prep, wanted to expand her mission of helping students succeed by launching a thoughtfully designed planner that would guide them through daily goals, study plans, and personal milestones. With a ready-to-print soft copy of the planner and physical products in hand, the next step was to build a professional online presence and supporting visuals to reach students and parents through Amazon and a dedicated website.
The challenge was to create a cohesive online shop and marketing assets for a brand-new product line that didn't yet have its own standalone visual identity. I needed to develop the Shopify store using templates and limited coding skills at the time, while ensuring the site looked polished, functional, and aligned with the trusted Elite Advantage Prep brand.
Working remotely, I collaborated with product photos that Anna provided, and turned them into polished visual assets for the website and marketing. With no brand guide in place, I used Elite Advantage Prep's existing look as a starting point, then expanded it into a clear visual guide as the project evolved. Balancing technical setup, design consistency, and marketing needs across Shopify, Amazon, social media, and funnels required resourcefulness and a strong eye for cohesive branding.
I designed and launched the Shopify website using pre-built templates, which allowed me to build a clean, user-friendly online store without advanced coding knowledge at the time. To make the site stand out, I researched best practices for Shopify customization and used basic CSS tweaks to adjust layouts, colors, and styling details so the store felt cohesive and visually polished. I also organized the product pages, integrated clear calls-to-action, and ensured the checkout flow was simple for students and parents. This setup gave Anna a reliable e-commerce platform where she could easily manage sales, track orders, and reach customers directly alongside her listings on Amazon.
Alongside building the website, I handled all the visual content that brought the Journey 180 Planner online. Working with product images from Anna, I created clean digital mock-ups and polished photos to highlight the planner's features. I also designed social media posts to promote the product and drive traffic to both the store and Amazon. As the project grew, I developed a clear brand guide to keep visuals consistent across graphics, funnels, and emails, complementing Elite Advantage Prep's look. When Anna decided to add an adult version, I edited the new planner in Adobe InDesign, keeping the same practical and polished design. The first run sold out on Amazon and the website, and once all inventory was fulfilled, Anna shifted her focus fully back to Elite Advantage Prep, supported by the branding work we built together.
